About This Role
We’re seeking a full-time candidate to contribute to the company’s research and development efforts. This individual will work closely with the team’s scientists and experts in the company’s lab, and will design, run, and analyze benchtop experiments. This candidate will be based in Natick, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities Will Include:
Lead the design, synthesis, evaluation, and statistical analysis of novel electrochemical biosensors for food safety applications.
Research relevant literature and up-to-date knowledge of the relevant scientific fields.
Collaboration with hardware and software design teams, contract manufacturers, and non-technical employees to further the development of the consumer and commercial products.
Requirements:
Ph.D., with 4 + years of experience in relevant field (e.g., chemistry, electrochemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, etc.).
Experience with development and validation of electrochemical sensors.
Proficiency with analytical techniques for measuring the efficacy and extent of target binding for affinity-based materials (e.g., antibodies, aptamers, etc.).
Experience with surface functionalization, bioconjugation, and coupling reactions.
Capacity to manage multiple projects and communicate ideas clearly to the team; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experiences and Skills:
Experience with multiple electrochemical techniques (amperometry, linear sweep voltammetry, etc.) and electroanalytical chemistry.
Background in polymer science, MIPs, and/or electrochemical polymerization.
Prior industry/commercialization experience, particularly with a start-up or early-stage biotech company in the food industry.
Strong technical writing skills and previous experience contributing to grant research/grant applications.
